The Poems of the Earth series compiles soothing natural soundscapes recorded by environmental music composer Takashi Kokubo, who has traveled to more than thirty countries to capture the voices of the natural world. Using the Cyberphonic 3D spatial recording system, the sounds are rendered with such realism that, when heard through headphones, one may feel physically present in the environment itself.
For many Japanese listeners, nothing is more comforting than the sounds of Japan. When daily life leaves the mind and body fatigued, put on headphones and sink into these familiar sonic landscapes. A deep sense of peace will naturally arise.
Track 9, “Newspaper,” is a Cyberphonic demonstration.
