Message from the Oasis — Forest of Ions is a sound-therapy work by Takashi Kokubo themed on the “healing particles” that permeate forest air. The spray of waterfalls, the rustling of wind, birdsong, and microscopic electronic tones blend together to create an acoustic space in which the forest itself seems to breathe.

Soft harmonies generated by synthesizers wrap around the mind and body like negative ions, quietly releasing tension. The energies of purification and regeneration that dwell in nature slowly permeate the listener’s inner landscape.

Among the works in the Oasis series, this album is a highlight, fusing nature and science, healing and sound art. As its title suggests, sound becomes a clear and refreshing atmosphere that fills the heart.
