Finland is one of the most nature-rich countries in Europe, with approximately 70% of its land covered by forests and about 10% by lakes. Nature is inseparable from daily life in Finland, and forests in particular have long been believed to be inhabited by spirits. This two-disc package (CD + Blu-ray) invites the listener to immerse in such a “healing forest” and gently release both mind and body.

Disc 1 (CD) contains healing music performed with piano, kantele (a traditional Finnish plucked zither), and other instruments. Disc 2 (Blu-ray) features edited video and still photography capturing the quintessential Nordic scenery of forests and lakes, as well as rural fields, pastures, and lakeside homes that reflect the quiet simplicity of Finnish life.

Stands of birch and pine, blooming wildflowers, birdsong and wind, a moment of rest by the lakeshore—these scenes convey the refreshing tranquility of Finland, the “land of forests and lakes,” to be enjoyed together with soothing music.
